OUR mission statement

MADE ON THE LEFT was founded in 2008 by independent designers to support Western Australian creative talent. We hold bi-annual handmade craft markets to showcase local designers.

Being on the left hand side of Australia no longer

means you'll be at a disadvantage.

Our aim is to support all creative designers and events showcasing independent labels. MOTL is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organisation. You may wonder why we promote other markets besides MOTL; it’s because it’s not about us, its about you; the buyers and sellers of indie wares. Here at the blog, you’ll discover up to date information about our latest market, the low-down on some of Perth’s emerging talents, other opportunities for artists and designers and a little bit of fun stuff too. It’s all right here… welcome!

Made on the Left - Winter Market

There’s no denying it – summer is gone and winter is settling in.  With plenty of chilly weather and (hopefully) rainy days ahead, thankfully Perth can count on another Made on the Left winter market to brighten their grey skies.

Made on the Left showcases the best independently made art, design and fashion created right here on the left side of Australia. Our next market is going to be in a large new CBD location for one day only
Sunday 10th July 11-5pm at one40william.

For all of those delightful designers out there -
the Application form is online now! Pleas apply before 11 June.
The stall fee: $100, with one trestle table provided. There is limited access, being a new inner city location, so please take note that there is no parking on site. There will be lift, stair and elevator access.

We look forward to hearing from you!
