MADE ON THE LEFT was founded in 2008 by independent designers to support Western Australian creative talent. We hold bi-annual handmade craft markets to showcase local designers.

Being on the left hand side of Australia no longer

means you'll be at a disadvantage.

Our aim is to support all creative designers and events showcasing independent labels. MOTL is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organisation. You may wonder why we promote other markets besides MOTL; it’s because it’s not about us, its about you; the buyers and sellers of indie wares. Here at the blog, you’ll discover up to date information about our latest market, the low-down on some of Perth’s emerging talents, other opportunities for artists and designers and a little bit of fun stuff too. Old Perth Road Markets - Stallholders Wanted


A Partnership between the Town of Bassendean and the Rotary Club of Swan Valley

The Old Perth Road Markets, Bassendean have their grand opening on 29th August. We are aiming to showcase high-quality arts, crafts and produce from local people. The markets will be open from 9am to 2.30pm and will continue to run on the last Sunday of the month. (except December when it will be the 19th). There will be live entertainment and the Town will be linking community events to the markets.

A 3m by 3m site costs $35. An application form, which has all the details, can be downloaded from our website or ring 0428 411 801.
